Andy's Hat

Pattern: My own
Yarn: Blue Sky Cotton
Needles: US 8 Denise circulars and Fiddlesticks dpns

I bought this yarn, which is luxuriously soft, months ago when I was still living in Fargo and promised Andy I'd make him a couple of hats out of it. Now that it's March, and there's not much need for hats, I've finally finished one. I used the Elevator stitch pattern from Mary Thomas's Book of Knitting Patterns. Unfortunately you can't see the pattern particularly well in the photo, but it has an interesting effect when worn, and I love how unique this pattern is. I'm going to make another, green with brown stripes, in a waffle stitch pattern.
