I haven't posted in a long time as I haven't been knitting much lately. Had finals last week and am in duluth this week. I've started working on another pair of stripy socks of the same yarn as previous socks (which i finished by the way). i don't know if i like them...one is SLIGHTLY bigger than the other and it drives me crazy. i don't know if it's even possible to get them much closer in size but it's all i think about when i put them on my feet. haven't tried blocking them yet but i will eventually (one thing hate about knitting is blocking, have never had to block a crochet project, do you even do that?). also i fucking HATE the poncho thing. i can't stand working on it and i don't think i'll ever wear it but i'm not going to take it apart at this point because it would mean putting more time into it than finishing it would. maybe i can give it to someone.

Anyway, the new socks are red and white/grey stripes. I really like the way that pattern is turning out more than I thought I would. I have no idea about the size, am knitting slightly tighter than the last pair i think...can't seem to knit completely consistently. oh well. i'll be glad to be done with the damn socks so i can move on to something more summery. i'm afraid to work on garments though because i don't think i'll be able to wear them comfortably while being so neurotic about everything i make not being perfect. maybe should stick with scarves/stole things etc. what the hell is a stole anyway? i think knitting makes me more angry than relaxed...

Ok, so here's the sock that I made. I made it with Magic Stripes from Lion Brand...apparently it's magical. I'm also posting a close up of the poncho pattern. i got it from stitch diva. mine doesn't have the circles in the middle of the flower which i kind of don't like, but when the flower rows were finished the middles were really loose so i tightened them up...i'm not sure if they still look like flowers or what. can't figure out how to post more than one picture in one post...is it possible? too lazy to figure it out right now.

i'm too lazy to even write. have a ton of homework to do today and am supposed to clean. my male roommate who claims to not mind living in a filthy environment is even complaining. so i'm going to go watch some tv.
