Keeping Busy...Its About Time

I have been extremely busy lately, but unfortunately not knitting. I finally landed a job at what seems to be a really good company doing data entry type work. Its decent pay and has tons of excellent benefits so I'm very happy about that. I was getting a little nervous about the whole unemployment situation for a while.

I've also been training at the Lake Superior Zoo to be a docent which I think is going to be an incredible experience. Just in training I've done things I never thought I would i.e. holding and petting Madagascar hissing cockroaches. They're neat, and good, really. Also, I've had the opportunity twice so far to hold Laverne. Laverne is the sweetest, softest little three legged Chinchilla. I'm not sure how her leg was lost, but I have fallen completely in love with her. I just want to hold her and bring her home every time I see her!

Finally in knitting news, which there isn't much of, I had completed one sleeve of my sweater last week and was hoping to finish it this week; however, when I tried it on I realized that I hadn't done my decreases in a straight line (doh!) so had to rip it because it would have driven me insane. The sleeves are going quickly now, it's just that I haven't had the motivation to pick it up lately. I should really visit blogs more often, they tend to be a great source of inspiration that get me into a knitting frenzy. I hope to have some progress to report and pictures soon.
